Big day for Chai Discovery announcing their license agreement with Pfizer 👏🏻 When we led Chai’s Series A, our thesis was simple: AI would transform biology from a scientific practice into an engineering discipline. That meant compressing drug discovery timelines from years into sprints, and unlocking targets that were previously out of reach. This deal brings that thesis to life. Pfizer scientists will deploy Chai’s platform, including Chai-3, their most advanced model, plus a custom model trained on Pfizer’s proprietary data, directly into their drug discovery engine. We’re delighted to announce a collaboration with Pfizer. Pfizer will be deploying Chai Discovery’s AI models to accelerate their drug discovery efforts, including our latest frontier model Chai-3 and a custom model leveraging Pfizer's proprietary data and tailored to their workflows. Chai-3 shows step-change improvements in AI-driven antibody design, doubling the success rate of its predecessor model and producing antibodies that meet required therapeutic standards. Earthian AI just released its Alchemist List 2026, a ranking of 10 best AI investors by early conviction, ownership quality, and value created. We’re proud to see Menlo Ventures’ Matt Murphy in the top 5. In reading this list of top 10 VCs, what stands out is that this AI cycle has not rewarded being everywhere, it has rewarded being right, early, and concentrated. Matt Murphy made the list for demonstrating exactly that kind of early conviction. His first investment in Anthropic came before the company had a product in market or revenue. ChatGPT had recently launched and quickly become a household name, and many assumed OpenAI had already run away with the market. Thanks to Matt, Menlo invested in Anthropic’s Series C in 2023, and then went all in to lead the Series D in 2024. We have been significant investors in every round since. Three years in, Anthropic’s progress continues to be extraordinary. We’re thrilled to see Matt recognized alongside Joshua Kushner of Thrive Capital, Peter Thiel of Founders Fund, Yasmin Razavi of Spark Capital, and Ravi Mhatre of Lightspeed --investors who helped define this AI cycle.
