This fabulous group of Geography and Environmental Studies Department at Texas State University students received a planning prompt at the end of August and worked in collaboration with five other schools to develop a plan, poster, and presentation by last Wednesday. Incredibly impressed with their hard work, creativity, grace, and persistence. For all those looking to hire, two of them will be graduating this December!
This past week, The Student Urban Planning Organization had the opportunity to represent Texas State in the #APATX25 Legacy project. Our team focused on developing strategies to enhance economic vitality along the South College Avenue Corridor, while keeping its cultural identity intact. Over the past few weeks, our team identified key areas for space activation, compiled resources to support local businesses, developed initiatives to promote cultural tourism, and conducted tax assessments to understand economic trends along the corridor. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this project a success, and thank you APA Texas Chapter for giving us the opportunity to present our research and connect with so many inspiring planners from around the state.

Hi! The Student Urban Planning Organization is looking to create a SUPO/Urban Planning Alum series where we have one or two alum come speak about their career, life post grad, experiences, and more!
