“There are two words that I would use to portray Natalie Workman: power and grace. Natalie‘s ability to lead a team, guide, advise and paint the vision for implementation is exceptional. She is a personal and professional mentor to me and has developed me in many ways. With all the talents and abilities Natalie possesses, her strong ability to communicate with grace, power, authority, intention, and warmth has impacted me the most. Let me paint a picture of this. Natalie was asked to be speak at a women’s event in Las Vegas where 500 women paid to come and gain knowledge to grow themselves in both personal and professional distinction. Several women spoke. All good speakers, I might add. However, I cannot remember their topics or any nugget I can reflect upon that changed me until she took the stage. Natalie Introduced herself and began a presentation on the importance of establishing a mission, vision, and core values in your organization. During the introduction, I didn’t feel the interest in the room until Natalie began to speak wisdom far beyond her years. It only took a moment for the room to quiet and all eyes were riveted on this powerful woman. She painted a grand picture using Cardone Ventures as the example with their mission, vision, and core values. Heads were nodding, women’s pens hard at work. The information Natalie brought was useable, concise and honestly, not all of it is completely friendly or leaves you with warm fuzzies. Accountability and alignment of your team can cultivate tough conversations, but a transformative culture if carried out correctly. As she was wrapping up, Natalie opened up for questions from the audience which we all know can be a vulnerable place to go in a room of 500 people. A couple of women asked for clarification and she was quick to provide greater clarity to her comments. Remember, we are at a meeting to celebrate women in power! Another lady stood up asking an outright degrading and pointed question implying that Natalie does not listen to her team. The room was silent and the snide challenge hung in the air. It was palpable. Natalie had a few choices: 1) She could return criticism for criticism. 2) Hide behind her stardom on the stage. 3) Address the woman with grace, power, and knowledge. Natalie, stopped, thought for a minute, straightened her shoulders and held her head high. She addressed the woman with grace, power, and knowledge negating her questionable remark with poise and authority that made perfect sense showing team alignment and accountability with mission, vision and core values. The room broke into praise for Natalie and a scathing vibe for the woman who chose to challenge another woman in such an aggressive manner. I have the honor to experience her poise and confidence, learn from her power and grace demonstrated consistently each and every day. Natalie, thank you for being a powerful mentor who holds me accountable to my goals and dreams on good days and bad. ”
