What is TPAC?

TPAC (Technical Plenary and Advisory Committee Week) is the W3C annual conference.

This highly regarded event plays a key role in helping W3C coordinate solutions to technical challenges that extend across working group boundaries.

During the TPAC week, W3C Working and Interest Group participants gather, focusing on finding paths forward to resolve challenging technical or social issues that the Web faces and strengthen the community through active networking opportunities. Last year in Kobe, Japan, more than 150 organizations participated, with 560 attendees onsite and 210 joining remotely.

We are now preparing for our 2026 TPAC edition at Clayton Burlington Road in Dublin, Ireland from 26 to 30 October 2026 and your support will make a big difference!

Why Sponsor TPAC?

  • Amplify brand visibility and industry leadership: Sponsorship puts your brand in front of key players in the Web community—hundreds of attendees from many global  organizations—and to a broader public audience as a key technology leader.
  • Strengthen relationships and build new ones: TPAC offers incredible networking opportunities for your team to build relationships with existing and potential partners, collaborators, and clients in a dynamic and informal setting and facilitate discussions in a multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Demonstrate commitment to open web standards and the open web: Position your organization as a leader and a responsible steward of the web, which can be a significant advantage for recruiting, partnerships, and public perception.
  • Showcase innovation: The expo & demo space included in the highest tier of the Sponsorship packages is an opportunity to showcase your organization’s technical contributions, get feedback, and expand your network of contacts.
  • Thought leadership: The "sponsored lightning talk" included in the highest tier of the sponsorship packages gives your organization a way to showcase how your organization is facing current challenges and contributing to the future of the web.

Sponsoring W3C also means supporting technology that enhances people’s lives

This will enable to:

  • Help reduce barriers for participation and create high value relations and collaboration opportunities.
  • Demonstrate commitment to individuals positively contributing as Chairs, Editors and/or elected bodies for an open and interoperable web that works for everyone.
  • Increase representation from low and middle income economies among W3C participants.
  • Support women, gender diverse individuals and those living with a disability to strengthen their engagement at W3C.
  • Increase representation from small organizations or from stakeholder groups or industries not widely represented in the W3C community.
