Third-Party Services

AutoPost AI connects to third-party services only when you save the related API key or use a feature that requires that service.

OpenAI

AutoPost AI uses the OpenAI API for topic suggestions, full post generation, keyword extraction, and featured-image prompt building. When used, the relevant prompt content, topic text, post instructions, and related generation context are sent to OpenAI for processing.

Stability AI

If you save a Stability AI API key, AutoPost AI can use Stability AI Stable Image Core for featured-image generation on created posts and for the basic Image Generator. When used, the image prompt and selected image settings are sent to Stability AI for processing.

Pixabay

AutoPost AI uses the Pixabay API to retrieve inline images for generated posts in the free version. When used, the plugin sends image search queries based on the topic or extracted keywords to Pixabay and retrieves matching image results.

Installation

  1. Upload the plugin folder to the ‘/wp-content/plugins/’ directory.
  2. Activate the plugin through the “Plugins” menu in WordPress.
  3. Go to AutoPost AI in your dashboard to begin setup.
  4. Enter your OpenAI API key to enable AI content generation.
  5. Optionally enter a Stability AI API key to unlock the free Stable Image Core teaser for featured images and the basic Image Generator.

FAQ

Do I need an OpenAI account?

Yes. You will need an OpenAI API key to generate topics and create posts. The free version uses GPT 4o. AutoPost AI Pro uses GPT 5.4.

Do I need a Stability AI account?

Only if you want to use the free Stability AI teaser. Save a Stability AI API key to use Stable Image Core for featured images on created posts and for the basic Image Generator.

Will this plugin automatically publish posts?

No. The free plugin is built around scheduled and on-demand post creation so you can review and publish manually.

Can I create a post immediately without waiting for the schedule?

Yes. Use the Create Now button in the queue to build a post on demand.

Where do the images come from?

Inline images in posts come from Pixabay in the free version. If a Stability AI API key is saved, the featured image can use Stable Image Core. The basic Image Generator also uses Stable Image Core in the free version.

Does it support custom post types?

This version creates standard WordPress blog posts.

What does Pro add?

AutoPost AI Pro uses GPT 5.4 and adds more Stability AI models, Nano Banana, Imagen, stronger text generation, richer image workflows, and more advanced automation and publishing tools.
