Safety starts with people. It’s about one commitment we all share: Make It Home. Across Wood, our teams recently came together for our annual Safety Week. A moment to pause, reflect and reset our focus on what truly matters and reinforce the everyday choices that help protect ourselves and each other. Make It Home is a powerful but simple reminder that everyone should return home safely at the end of each day.   From site visits and townhalls to team activities and open discussions, our people continue to work together to build a strong, personal culture of care, during safety week and beyond. COOEC has awarded Wood a detailed design scope for QatarEnergy’s Bul Hanine EPIC2 project, located offshore Qatar. Our teams will apply deep subsea engineering and flow assurance expertise to design an optimised solution for a complex pipeline network, supporting increased production capacity and extending asset life. This award follows earlier phase involvement at the field and reinforces our strong track record in offshore detailed design. By working closely with COOEC, we’re combining complementary strengths to help advance QatarEnergy’s ambitions for these critical assets. Find out more about our scope ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eVDDXY5M

Electric vehicles, energy storage and wider electrification are driving unprecedented demand for battery minerals and accelerating the global search for new, reliable sources of supply. Graphite, a critical component in lithium-ion batteries, is under increasing pressure as supply struggles to keep pace. As a result, attention is turning to emerging regions with untapped potential. Kazakhstan is one of them. With significant natural resources and growing ambition to diversify into critical minerals, it is positioning itself as an important player in the future battery supply chain. In this article, we explore the Sarytogan Graphite Project, one of the most closely watched developments globally, and our role in assessing viability and future developments. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dRW8Me7t

Brownfield projects succeed when rigorous engineering meets practical execution. For bp's Murlach field redevelopment in the UK Central North Sea, the challenge was to integrate new wells and subsea infrastructure with existing facilities at their Eastern Trough Area Project (ETAP) Hub. Wood supported the project from pre-FEED in 2019 through FEED and into engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC), delivering fit-for-purpose, reliable and cost-effective modifications that reused existing infrastructure to enhance production and extend the life of ETAP. Read the full case study and discover how we delivered the project ahead of schedule and under budget, strengthening our 40-year relationship with bp: https://lnkd.in/enSzgnRx

The Gippsland Basin supplies 60% of Australia’s South East coast gas demand, making its operational reliability a matter of national energy security. For more than a year, Wood has supported Esso Australia to deliver maintenance and shutdown support across these critical offshore and onshore assets. At the heart of this alliance is an integrated team model, shared accountability and a strong focus on continuous improvement. By working as one team, Wood and Esso Australia have transformed how maintenance and support are delivered, helping get the most out of mature assets while maintaining high standards of safety and performance. While maintaining critical infrastructure reliably and safely is at the core of this alliance, the story is really about our people. From contract managers and engineers, to maintenance schedulers and health and safety professionals, our team brings deep local knowledge, pride in execution and a commitment to doing the right work, the right way.
