The plugin is set to “Automatic update” – but it is the only one of all the plugins that doesn’t work. One ALWAYS have to update the damn plugin MANUALLY.
If you ask the developer => you won’t get an answer – they don’t seem to need it or they’re too arrogant for it… Is there another recommended plugin THAT AUTOMATICALLY UPDATES?

    Hi @max5150,
Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the frustration.

Burst does auto-update, but with a 24-hour delay after each release. This is a phased rollout option offered by WordPress.org: the new version first goes out to a smaller group of users: manual updates only.

If something unexpected shows up, we can fix it before everyone has updated. With 200,000+ active installs, that small safety window meaningfully improves release quality.
So if you wait 24 hours after a release, Burst will update automatically just like your other plugins. In the meantime, a manual update always works.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
