Get rid of Meta and Archive Widget

    I want to get rid of the Meta and Archive Widgets. I know I am supposed to put another widget in these areas to “cover” them, but then I have to do that in all pages and all posts and sometimes it doesn´t work.
    Is there a plug-in to remove these widgets?
    I don’t want to code or change the css.
