Of course it’s one of the best freemium themes, it meets 2025 standards very well, but I like e.g. Blocksy more. What I like about Kadence:
- Kadence Blocks are potentially the best designed ones in terms of doing modern grid designs etc., also good to have minor details like schema for FAQ sections
- tons of free starters compared to other options
What I dislike about it:
- UX is terrible in some parts, e.g. you have to click a random button that looks like reset to enter URLs or link media to itself to get lightbox
- color palettes can’t get additional colors, only 9 of them – possible and easy in Blocksy
- icon choices are much worse than in Blocksy, couldn’t even find something as basic as a mountain, the icon search also generally sucks in terms of UX
- basic functionality like breadcrumbs secretly hidden under premium, even though it’s partially configurable for some reason, again way better in Blocksy
- footer has really weird configurability, e.g. 3 width options that are quite limited
