Update v2.3.0/v2.3.1 breaks plugin

When updating from 2.2.14 to 2.3.0 and 2.3.1, the product quiz plugin breaks.
The back-end shows “can’t establish a connection to the server at localhost:9528”:
The front-end no longer shows the quiz, just a blank section where the quiz used to be.
Can be reproduced on staging site, contact me for login details.
