    Hi @samands12 ,

We’re genuinely sorry to hear that your experience felt this frustrating that’s never the outcome we want for any of our users.

At the same time, we’d like to clarify a couple of important points so we can move this forward constructively:

    • Our support team did respond to your email and sent guidance, but we haven’t received any follow-up from you confirming whether the solution worked or if you needed further help. We always continue assisting until the issue is fully resolved but we do rely on your response to proceed.
    • The activation issue you mentioned is not a known widespread problem, which usually means it can be resolved quickly once we can review your specific setup.
    • Our live chat and phone support are available Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 6 PM (UTC+6), as mentioned on our website. Outside of those hours, we handle all requests via email to ensure proper tracking and resolution.

We completely understand how delays or unclear communication can feel from your side, and if any of our previous replies seemed too brief, we sincerely apologize that’s something we’re continuously improving.
Please reply to our last email (or contact us again at support@codesolz.net) and we will personally prioritize your case, review everything step-by-step, and make sure the plugin works as expected on your setup.

If the solution still doesn’t work for you, you’re covered by our 100% refund policy, and we’ll issue a full refund without any further questions.

Since this forum is mainly for free plugin discussions, please contact our official support channel so we can provide you with priority Pro support and handle your case properly.

We’re confident this can be fixed quickly, and we’d really appreciate the chance to turn your experience into a positive one.

    Best Regards

Thank you for sharing your experience, we genuinely appreciate you taking the time to do so. It’s important to clarify how this type of tool works so others can use it safely and effectively.

The plugin is a powerful database-level search and replace utility. When run against the entire database, it will replace every matching instance it finds, including content generated by page builders like Beaver Builder, which often store layouts and settings in structured or serialized formats.

Running a global replacement without fully reviewing what is being changed can unintentionally affect page builder data, which may lead to broken layouts or missing content. This isn’t a bug in the plugin, but rather the nature of database-wide operations.

    That’s why we strongly recommend:

    • Always running a dry run / preview first
    • Limiting replacements to specific tables or columns when possible
    • Creating a full backup before executing bulk changes
    • Avoiding blind global replacements when page builders or serialized data are involved

Used correctly, the plugin is extremely effective and trusted by thousands of sites but like any advanced tool, it requires a clear understanding of what is being changed and where.

We’re glad you were able to restore your site, and we hope this helps others approach bulk replacements more confidently and safely in the future.

If anyone needs guidance on best practices or safe usage scenarios, we’re always happy to help.

    Hi @albertopm9,

Thank you for letting us know.
As far as our checks show, version 1.7.6 has no known vulnerability. The issue was in a prior release and was resolved immediately. Patchstack’s database confirms this here:
    https://tinyurl.com/58utxvh5

To better understand your concern, could you please share the specific details you have from Patchstack (e.g., report link, proof-of-concept, or logs) that mention version 1.7.6? That will help us verify and respond more accurately.

Thanks again for helping keep everything secure.

    Best Regards

    Hello Michael @michaelsunier,

Thank you for your detailed message.

The plugin checks innodb_strict_mode during activation to ensure the required tables and schema are created without interruption. In some environments, strict mode can prevent certain database operations needed at install time.

You can safely disable InnoDB strict mode temporarily during activation, then re-enable it immediately afterwards. The plugin will function normally with strict mode turned back on once installation is complete.

Since you’re a Pro customer, we’d kindly ask that you reach out to us directly through our support channel ( direct email to our support) instead of posting here. That way, we can provide you with priority assistance and ensure your issue is resolved quickly.

    HI @3bsstudio,

It sounds like you were attempting a URL update across your site, but the changes unintentionally affected the design and layout. This may happen if the replacement also impacted styling-related URLs or scripts, which could result in unexpected changes to button colors, fonts, and layout.

If the product URLs you’re trying to update aren’t stored directly in the database, we recommend using the Real-Time Find and Replace feature instead of the database-level option. This allows you to safely update URLs on the front end without replacing your site’s structure or stored content.

Before applying any changes, the plugin displays a preview of the matched content. Please review this carefully to ensure that only the intended URLs are being replaced.

If you need personalized assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team from our website or email. We’re happy to help you get everything working smoothly.

    Thanks

    Hi @dsl225,

Apologies for the delayed response. Yes, you can create rules specifically for real-time replacements, which will only modify the HTML output before it is rendered in the browser. This ensures seamless, on-the-fly content updates without changing the original data.

You can check more from our website – https://docs.codesolz.net/better-find-and-replace/real-time-find-replace/use-shortcode-rule/

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks

    Hi @deadparrotsoftware,

Thanks for your opinion. It is not true that the free version is ineffective. Although the free version has limited features, it successfully fulfills its purpose. We offer a wide range of features for database replacement. You can undoubtedly make permanent replacements in your database using the free version.

It appears that @maudke has overlooked the pro features. To replace items in the database, you need to uncheck the ‘dry run’ option. For safety, this option is checked by default. When enabled, it provides detailed reports and a look to pro-features, allowing you to replace items easily, either individually or in bulk. When using the free version, simply close the reports once you are satisfied with the results, uncheck the ‘dry run’ option, and click the ‘Replace’ button. This will permanently change the desired items in the database. Also you can check our documentation for more detail.
