Wrapped up a great few days at CharIN Testival 2026 with Hubject. Always great to see interoperability play out in real time, with the whole ecosystem in the same place working through it together. A highlight was watching Plug & Charge and dynamic BPT run E2E live with ISO 15118-20 & OCPP 2.1 with Argonne National Laboratory. Reliable, seamless EV charging only happens when the industry collaborates on standards, and it was great to be part of it. Thanks to CharIN e.V. and everyone I got to connect and trade notes with. While visiting the Los Angeles metro area this past weekend, I pulled up at a red-light with a Waymo to my right and saying hello was a must! 🤖🚓🤓💯 I've seen these marvels around L.A. and SF and every time, I smile and wave at the L4 autonomous system with wonder and amazement😲🙀🥳. The kid in me comes out and I stare in awe and think of the possibilities and what's to come.

Retention is not a discount strategy. I spent years watching companies throw offers at at-risk subscribers and call it retention marketing. The churn numbers rarely moved in a meaningful way. What worked better was understanding why a customer was at risk and tailoring the retention approach to that behavior. A few years back, I led proactive retention work for a previous company and partnered with data science on a model designed to match retention offers to subscriber behavior patterns, not just broad demographic segments. A premium sports viewer approaching renewal should not get the same message as a drama viewer whose engagement has dropped off over time. Different customers show risk differently. Their retention strategy should reflect that. That work helped support stronger retention outcomes and reinforced something I still believe: The broader lesson is bigger than machine learning. Whether you are using a sophisticated model or a spreadsheet, the question is the same: What does this specific subscriber actually care about, and are you speaking to that? Most companies do not have a retention problem. They have an understanding problem. They are still optimizing the offer before they have fully understood the customer. After three years as Chief People & Administrative Officer at Prodege, I’m closing an important chapter of my career with a lot of gratitude for the people I had the opportunity to work alongside during a uniquely demanding period for the business. Leading a PE-backed, multi-geography people operation across five countries through continual pivots and evolving priorities was one of the most challenging experiences of my career. It sharpened my judgment, tested my resilience, and expanded my perspective in ways only real complexity can. I’m proud of what the People Ops and Technology teams, alongside our partners across the business, accomplished together with limited resources. We got creative, worked long hours, and leaned into both the work and each other. Building infrastructure while adapting to shifting priorities took an enormous amount of effort, persistence, and goodwill from a lot of talented people. Trips to Erewhon for overpriced smoothies helped too. On Monday, I’ll begin a new role as a VP, Human Resources. This was a thoughtful decision, and I’m excited for the opportunity to return to a public company environment during a period of meaningful growth and transformation. The chance to build alongside strong leadership, clear ambition, and a people strategy tightly connected to business performance was a major part of what drew me to the role. Twenty years into this field, I still believe the people function is where strategy either gets executed or quietly dies. I’m looking forward to helping build what comes next. To the Prodege teams across the U.S., U.K., India, Greece, Germany, and beyond: thank you. What we worked through and accomplished together mattered. I’m deeply grateful for the talent, resilience, and capability you demonstrated throughout it all. Dancing on a rooftop in Gurugram, an escape room in Munich, charity work at an inner-city school in New Delhi, eating koulouri in Athens, meeting footballers in London, and a Ren Faire in Minnesota are just a few of the memories I won’t forget. Thank you to my partners across finance, legal, and technology. And thank you to a tight group of work comrades who listened, collaborated, walked literal circles around the building, and stayed deeply committed to each other, the people, and the company. Finally, thank you to the People Operations and Technology Services teams. First ACT Expo / ACT News in the books. As autonomous fleets scale, they'll need driverless authentication, and that's exactly where Plug & Charge infrastructure becomes critical.
