  • A great reminder that stories like this one are the constant “why” behind expanding virtual care and access to women and families everywhere. We’re with you. 💚 https://lnkd.in/gQvQ89JY

Today I got a firsthand reminder of why access to care matters. I recently had an ultrasound as part of my ongoing midlife health care (hello perimenopause symptoms). When the results came in at 4:30pm (the night before an early morning flight) I was pretty scared based on the findings. Unfortunately the earliest appointment with my provider was more than two weeks away. With an international family trip starting tomorrow, I didn’t want to spend my vacation worrying. So I opened my Maven Clinic app on my phone… Within 40 minutes, I connected with an actual doctor who reviewed my results, I got immediate answers to my questions and understood what to discuss at my follow-up appointment. Most importantly, I got peace of mind. I talk every day about the impact Maven has on members. Today, I experienced it myself. Tomorrow I’ll board my flight focused on making memories with my family, not worrying about unanswered health questions. That’s the power of timely, accessible care. That’s the power of Maven Clinic.

Just last week a prospective client asked me, "does Maven Clinic offer anything for men?" It's a question I hear more than you'd think. And the answer surprises people every time. Not only does Maven Clinic support men - it supports the whole family. And June is Men's Mental Health Month, so there's no better time to talk about it. The need is real: 👉 83% of men don't know where to turn for reproductive health support 👉 Male factors contribute to 50% of infertility cases. Yet it's still treated as a women's issue 👉 40% of men tested through Maven flagged an abnormality - caught early, before it became costly or stressful As someone who works in family health benefits every day, I see firsthand what happens when dads are left out of the conversation. They show up for everyone else. It's time benefits showed up for them too — including their mental health. Here's how Maven supports men - and their partners - at every stage: 🧬 Fertility - at-home semen analysis, specialist access, and full support for their partner through every step of the journey 🤰 Maternity - because he's navigating pregnancy and newborn care too: emotionally and physically 👶 Parenting & Pediatrics - 24/7 support for both parents from day one, including mental health support through the transition to parenthood 🌡️ Menopause & Midlife - hormonal health, mental health, and sexual wellness for him and her. A husband can learn what his wife is experiencing through the menopause transition so he can show up for her in the way she needs 💼 Career & Wellness - mental health specialists, nutrition, career, and wellness coaches for the whole family And here's what makes Maven Clinic truly unique. Both partners have access to each other's journey. A husband can learn what his wife is experiencing through fertility treatment, postpartum recovery and later in life menopause. A wife can understand what her husband is going through with his fertility health or midlife changes. Because the more we understand each other, the better we show up for each other. And that is the very definition of mental health support. And the best part? You only pay for one. When an employee enrolls in Maven Clinic, their partner gets access too. One benefit. The whole family covered. This June, let's normalize men asking for support - at home, at work, and from their benefits. Women have long been underserved in healthcare - and that will always be at the heart of what Maven Clinic does. But Maven Clinic doesn't just support women. It supports everyone who loves them. ❤️ #MensHealth #MensMentalHealth #MentalHealthMonth #FertilityBenefits #EmployeeBenefits #MavenClinic #FamilyHealth #InclusiveBenefits #WorkplaceWellness

  • 🥵 It's a hot peptide summer. GLP-1s are a peptide. So is insulin. But peptides go well beyond Ozempic — and this summer, people are stacking them, sourcing them, and largely doing it alone. The question isn't whether that's happening. It's whether we're going to help them do it safely. For the latest issue of The Preprint, Maven's CMO- Neel Shah takes a closer look at what it means that millions of people are going around the healthcare system to feel well — not because they want to, but because the system gave them nowhere else to go. Read the full piece → https://lnkd.in/eUM2MBtU

  • 🎙️ The Preprint is now a podcast — and we couldn't be more excited about what Neel Shah is building and opening the door to conversation! For three years, Maven's Chief Medical Officer Neel Shah has been writing about what the best of healthcare could actually look like on Substack. The first episode is with Dr. Janelle Duah, MD — one of roughly 100 obesity medicine specialists in the country, triple board-certified, and Maven's newest Associate Medical Director. She makes sense of the current revolution in GLP-1s, metabolic, and hormone health better than anyone we've encountered. 📣 Listen wherever you get your podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gdkN4QKP

Surgical training and the years you'd want to start a family overlap almost perfectly. For most of my colleagues navigating both at once, something gave — and it was rarely the training. New research in JAMA — the most widely read medical journal in the world — finds that postpartum burnout is preventable, and Maven Clinic's platform was part of the intervention that proved it. The trial enrolled 143 pregnant residents and fellows across 7 institutions. Half got standard support. Half got a structured bundle: smart bassinet, wearable pump, faculty mentorship, and Maven's 24/7 perinatal care. → High burnout: 65% → 35% → Participants without the bundle were 10× more likely to report career regret at 6 months → Bundle costs ~$2,300/physician. Burnout costs employers $7,600/physician/year — a 3× ROI, validated in JAMA. This work was led by Dr. Erika Rangel, M.D., M.S., FACS at Harvard and Mass General, who has spent a decade building this evidence base. The question now isn't whether we can prevent postpartum burnout. It's whether we'll choose to. Links in the comments

  • Today, Maven Clinic is opening its doors directly to women nationwide. For the first time, women can access Maven’s connected model of care directly, including virtual care for hormonal health, GLP-1 support, and 30+ women’s and family health specialties. This launch marks a new chapter for Maven: bringing the care model we’ve built over the last decade directly to women across the country. Maven’s GLP-1 Care and Hormone Care programs are designed for women navigating weight and metabolic health, perimenopause, menopause, and the symptoms that often overlap across life stages, from sleep disruption and mood changes to brain fog and weight changes. Care includes clinical oversight, personalized treatment plans, prescriptions when appropriate, nutrition support, and follow-up that goes beyond a single appointment. Because women’s health doesn’t happen in silos. Care shouldn’t either. Maven brings it together with providers who understand women’s bodies across life stages and support that continues over time. Now open nationwide. ➡️ Start your care here: https://lnkd.in/dx79M_n3 📚 Read more about today’s launch: https://lnkd.in/dVtyDss5

  • Dr. Janelle Duah, MD is joining Maven as Associate Medical Director at a pivotal moment in women’s health. GLP-1s and hormone therapy are expanding what’s possible. But access alone isn’t care. Women are navigating deeply personal and clinically complex questions: ➡️ How weight changes across reproductive life stages ➡️ How hormones shape metabolism ➡️ How conditions like PMOS/PCOS or insulin resistance affect outcomes ➡️ What happens during postpartum or perimenopause ➡️ What support is needed beyond a prescription. Dr. Duah brings deep expertise in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, primary care, and weight management to help Maven build a more complete model of GLP-1 and hormone care for women. For more than a decade, Maven has built care around women’s real lives. Now, with Dr. Duah’s clinical leadership, we’re applying that same depth to metabolic and hormone care, helping women get evidence-based support that sees the full picture. 🚀 Welcome to Maven, Dr. Duah!

  • A traditional preprint is a paper before it’s been peer reviewed. By nature, it’s an early idea being pressure tested. That spirit is what inspired The Preprint, a space created by Maven’s Chief Medical Officer, Neel Shah, to explore the health questions, cultural signals, and clinical conversations moving faster than the evidence can fully settle. Because in women’s and family health, patients are often asking questions long before the system has clear answers. From fertility rumors circulating on TikTok to the latest conversations in metabolic health, The Preprint looks at the moments when curiosity, access, evidence, and lived experience collide. 🎙️ After four years on Substack, we’re expanding with The Preprint Podcast—an extension of Maven’s commitment to evidence-based, clinically rigorous, and deeply human conversations about the future of health. In the first episode, Neel Shah sits down with Janelle Duah, MD, a Maven physician and triple board-certified expert in internal medicine, obesity medicine, and lifestyle medicine, to unpack what the metabolic health revolution means for patients, clinicians, and the future of care. Launching at the end of the month. More soon. https://lnkd.in/gn6yEGpV

The moments when employees need support most rarely fit into a single benefits category. For many, it’s happening all at once: fertility treatments, a new baby, a child’s diagnosis, an aging parent who needs more support, and their own health taking a back seat. That’s why Maven and Wellthy are partnering to deliver a more connected family care experience—bringing together clinical care and caregiving coordination to support employees across fertility, pregnancy, parenting, menopause, eldercare, and beyond. Join us for an upcoming webinar with Wellthy + Maven: Delivering Unified Family Care, featuring: Lindsay Jurist-Rosner CEO and co-founder of Wellthy Kate Ryder Founder & CEO of Maven Clinic Together, they’ll discuss: → Where traditional benefits often fall short → How employers can better support the realities of modern caregiving → What a more coordinated, end-to-end family care experience can look like in practice 📝 Register to join us on Thursday, May 21 at 1:00 p.m. ET: https://lnkd.in/ew4KKQ-r

  • 📣 Mavens have always been connectors: the people who share what works, open doors, and help others find the support they didn’t know existed. Once you’ve experienced care that feels personal, trusted, and there when it matters, you know why people pass it on. Meet Maven’s Ambassador Program: a new way for members (former and current), alumni, and providers to connect more deeply with our team, join exclusive events, earn Maven credits, and share what Maven has meant for their families, workplaces, and communities. Because when people find care that actually cares back, they tend to tell someone. 📍 Interested in becoming a Maven Ambassador? Apply now: https://lnkd.in/g8_6Mr-Y
