  • Price isn't why you're losing jobs. Roofing and exterior contractors who consistently win share three things: a clear scope, realistic timelines, and communication that keeps homeowners informed at every step. When customers trust you before work starts, price becomes one factor among many. Not the deciding one. The 2026 Roofing & Exterior Market Report breaks down what homeowners weigh when choosing a contractor, where the credibility gaps are, and how top operators are closing them. • Moments like these are a reflection of what can happen when a team comes together around a shared vision. Congratulations to the team at Johnson Heating and Cooling on this exciting milestone. Wishing you continued success as you build on the momentum of a strong start. Thank you for your trust and partnership. We’re excited to welcome you to the ServiceTitan family.

The Johnson team transitioned from FieldEdge to ServiceTitan yesterday, and by all expectations, day one was a roaring success. This was an ambitious project. Not only did we push ourselves and the ServiceTitan team to launch weeks ahead of schedule, but we also chose to make the transition in June, with demand season already ramping up. This would not have been possible without a team that was engaged, excited for change, and hungry for progress. From training sessions to launch day, our people embraced the challenge and remained focused on building a better future for our customers and employees. It also would not have happened without the expert guidance and support of Danny Tundidor, our implementation specialist. I've heard many stories about how challenging a ServiceTitan transition can be and how long it can take for teams to get fully up and running, but that was not our experience. Danny made the process manageable, clear, and far less intimidating. His partnership played a major role in setting us up for success. We hit a few bumps in the road yesterday, and I'm sure we'll find more over the coming weeks, but the future is bright at Johnson and Indiana Leak Detection. I'm incredibly proud of what our team accomplished and excited about what's ahead.

  • When Seaside Plumbing Inc couldn't find the workforce they needed, they built one. The Seaside Toolbox Academy, now a standalone nonprofit, reaches nearly 7,000 students a year across Maryland and Delaware, going into schools, career fairs, and even preschool events to make trades careers feel real before stereotypes take hold. • A group of people are standing in a workshop, listening to a person sitting in the center, talking animatedly. They are surrounded by plumbing tools and equipment. A "Seaside Plumbing" logo is visible on the wall. The text at the bottom reads, "Growing the trades, one student at a time.
  • The modern frontline technician needs modern support. As advanced equipment becomes the norm and veteran expertise retires, the pressure is on to scale training the new generation of technicians without sacrificing safety or quality. Leila Rookstool is joining Service Council™ to talk about what AI on the frontline actually looks like, and how the future of tech enablement is already here. It’s going to be a great conversation around navigating the AI era, supporting continuous learning, and boosting retention.

Traditional training models are struggling to keep pace with modern service demands. Service environments are growing more complex, and asset sophistication continues to rise, while organizations are facing mounting pressure to prepare technicians faster without sacrificing quality, safety, or customer experience. At the same time, experienced workers are retiring, workforce expectations are evolving, and frontline teams are being asked to solve more advanced problems earlier in their careers. Join us on Thursday, June 4th at 12pm EST, as we welcome Leila Rookstool, Senior Industry Advisor – Commercial for ServiceTitan to the studio. Together, we’ll examine how AI-powered guidance, diagnostics, and knowledge access are helping organizations accelerate onboarding, shorten training timelines, and enable technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues with greater speed and confidence. The discussion will also explore the evolving role of the technician in the AI era, including how organizations can support continuous learning, improve technician engagement, and create career paths that encourage long-term retention. Leila Rookstool is a Senior Industry Advisor, Commercial, with more than 13 years of experience helping service organizations modernize operations, scale growth, and strengthen commercial service execution. A fourth-generation trades professional, Leila combines deep industry roots with expertise in end-to-end commercial service workflows, service sales strategy, estimating, and service innovation. Her career includes leadership roles within a Comfort Systems USA subsidiary and later at the corporate level, where she supported enterprise-wide service growth and technology adoption initiatives before serving as Vice President of Sales and Service for the Southeast region, overseeing organizations representing approximately $250 million in annual service revenue. She later transitioned into consulting, helping contractors align technology strategy with operational performance, before joining ServiceTitan, where she now advises contractors on scaling service operations with confidence.

Your opportunity is only as strong as the information tied to it. When a bid moves from new to qualified to close, a lot happens in between. Pre-qual notes. Bid instructions. Drawing sets from the client. Site walk photos. Meeting logs. PDFs. If those files live in email threads and personal folders, someone on your team is losing time every single day finding them, or worse, missing them entirely. When all of it attaches to the opportunity itself, the whole team works from the same source of truth. And with a full audit trail showing username, date, and timestamp for every action, accountability is built in, not bolted on after something goes wrong. That's how you run a tighter operation. • The commercial contractors winning the next bid cycle aren't necessarily the ones with the biggest crews. They're the ones who know their numbers before anyone else in the room does. AI is changing how commercial work is estimated, sold, and staffed. And the data shows a clear split forming between operators who are testing it now and those waiting for someone else to prove it out first. That split has a cost. It shows up in margin. In close rate. In which jobs you're even invited to bid on. The 2026 State of AI in the Trades report has the breakdown. Linked in comments. #ServiceTitan #CommercialContractors #StateofTheTrades

    • The image is titled "State of the Trades" and includes a statistic stating commercial contractors are 40% more likely to be experimenting with AI than residential. It mentions that 24% are still unsure about AI's meaning for their operations. The source is the 2026 ServiceTitan State of AI in the Trades Report.
  • How many callbacks did your team run last month? Every one of them costs you twice. The return trip. The job you could have run instead. And the customer confidence you didn't fully recover. Most callbacks aren't bad luck. They're patterns. Wrong diagnosis, pricing confusion, incomplete recommendations. Patterns that are fixable with the right tools and habits. Chris Hunter sits down with Ryan Deshaies, founder of Chesapeake Electric, an $8 million operation built on first-time resolution. They'll walk through exactly how his team uses ServiceTitan and Pro products to get it right the first time. Register now: https://lnkd.in/eStzcv4a

  • The roofers who answer first win the job. The ones who don't watch the lead go to a competitor. Homeowners hire whoever picks up, and slow response costs real revenue every week. A missed call is a missed estimate. A missed estimate is a missed job. Our 2026 Roofing & Exteriors Market Report breaks down how top operators are using automation to respond in seconds, not hours, and what the fastest-growing exteriors businesses are doing differently. What does response time look like in your operation today? Get the full report in the comments. #ServiceTitan #Roofing #Exteriors
