JD Weidman’s Post

Big milestone for #mobility at SDSU! 🚲🚌🚶♂️ After 1.5 years of collaboration with Fehr & Peers, SDSU’s Technical Committee, and the campus community, I’m excited to share the final draft of our new Transportation Demand Management Plan: SDSU on the Move: Transforming Transportation for a Growing Campus This plan is all about building a more #sustainable, #accessible, and #flexible transportation future for SDSU. The plan supports campus growth, reducing parking and traffic challenges, and creating more ways for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to get to and around campus. From shared mobility to #transit, #biking, #walking, #parking management, incentives, and new technology, SDSU on the Move lays out a bold roadmap for how we move forward. The plan used a detailed return-on-investment methodology, including qualatative and quantative analyses. I'm proud to help bring this work to this stage, and excited for what comes next. Thank you to Kellie Dugdale, Chelsea Richer, AICP, and Nicole Matteson for your work on this! Thank you to all of our campus partners who helped guide the planning process including Bruce Appleyard, Charlotte Roberts, Katie Crist, PhD, MPH, Stephen Greenwood, Hank Kaplan, Christopher Sumner, and Silvia Croft.
